Apple releases Mac OS X 10.4.7 updates

After its abrupt change of direcxtion in the market to execute OSX in Intel architecture together with the Power PC platform, Apple has launched a “cumulative” update to cover various weak aspects of its previous versions. This new version aims at the OS security; it presents outstanding characteristics which fulfil the aims set forth.
| The improvements solve the problems with vulnerabilities, among which it is Apple File Protocol to avoid the exposition to users of sensitive sistem data; the faults corrections in Framework ImageIO which allowes the execution of the code and DoS attacks when trying to see malicious TIFF files; the creator of launchd to avoid local users to ghave access to the syste and OpenLDAP updates, since this allwed remote intruders to attack DoS. |
