Failure reported in Winamp 5.21
When an application is as popular as it is the case of Winamp, chances for malicious users to, or at least try to violate its security settings are too high. In order to avoid this kind of eventuality, it is necessary to update it with versions which not present the failure.Image

Fortinet Security Research Team discovered this vulnerability in Nullsoft’s player and started working on its solutions, which were available in a short time. It is not a patch, but Winamp’s new version: 5.22

From 5.21 through all the past versions you can find this fault, which is reported as failure when Winamp uses the IN_MIDI.DLL file to run midi files. If a .MID file hosted in a Web site is run by this application, this will cause buffer collapse, leaving the application performing no requested actions or even functionless.
