False notification of Microsoft hides a computing virus

A new virus hides below this method of trick in relation to the Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Notificationantipiracy system.  The virus’s name is Cuebot-K and has a considerable destructive strength.

Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Notification site name of the application which installs in the PC system and goes unnoticed thanks to its name. The true application connects to the Microsoft servers to check the software authenticity while the false version does the same with the programmers’ servers, in this way they enter the infected system from a remote connection.

Sophos, the security company informed that this Word is propagating through e-mails, but just among the IM America On Line Instant Messenger; he also pointed out that Cuebot-K has the capacity to deactivate the installed security tools.

Cuebot-K releases a Trojan called Protestor.A in its first execution. This Trojan is also programmed to Aact as a Keylogger and steals users' data while capturing images.
