Funlove Virus in drivers provided by HP
|
 | "We have advised about the problem with HP, so we hope the annoying file will be file from the company’s public FTO servers as soon as possible. As technical advice, this problem underlines the importante of checking the traffic of the outgoing files in the business environment, which is a proof of the stealthy survival of the infections in general” said Bogdan Dumitru, BitDefender CTO. |
Funlove virus expanded from the FTP servers and throughput all HP users. The basic bearer of the malicious code is a company driver used in different devices. BitDefender was the company which discovered Funlove in 2000 in the first servers of what used to be Hewlett-Packard at that time.
| At present, it was published a publication of signatures of viruses for users. The discovery was done by the specialist of BitDefender around 3 pm GMT, on 31st of May, a little while later, HP was informed of the fact and was offered help. |
As Bogdan Dumitru, we hope the problem will be solved as soon as possible since a leading computing company as HP will not accept to blot its reputation for an event as such.
