Internet grows rapidly and IP addresses cannot keep up

nternet Security Systems informed in its annual research on the web, a considerable increase in Internet use in developing countries, above all in Africa and South America. These countries have registered domains incessantly during this last year.

This increase produced in the before mentioned continents in the south hemisphere represented, in the year 2005, 21% per cent in the world.  This percentage is the same that Europe presented since last April, until now 2.000.0000 domains. eu have been registered. 

In this way, Europe and the USA own almost a 50% of the existing addresses, even though an important number of them are not being used.  This means, that the current IP version needs to be substituted by a new one, since the 4.000.000.000 addresses available nowadays are no longer enough. 

To solve this problem, since 1995 the sixth version of Internet Protocol is on hold, with superior capacities for more addresses.  The transfer from one Internet Protocol to the other is supposed to be a tough task but a vital one for upcoming addresses,
