Norton 360 against Live OneCare

 | Norton 360 arises from Symantec dissatisfaction in the presence of the Microsoft to enter the dynamic market of the Internet security. The equivalent product of the Giant of the Software is Windows Live OneCare, which offers a solution against virus, spyware and firewall protection. |
Both companies look for a product which integrates different security utilities and has an annual fixed price. Live OneCare will cost around 50 dollars per year, while Norton 360 around 40and 60 dollars.
| John Thompson, Symantec president said in another meeting that “the Internet security is an unknown topic for Microsoft”. Norton 360 does not fall behind with the competence since it includes an antivirus, antispyware, a system of antipishing protection and an antikeylogger. Besides, it also has backup utilities to make security copies and tools to optimize the PC performance. |
The launch date for Symantec Norton 360 is not certain yet, but the company assures that the product will be ready for next March 31st 2007, this dates marks the end of the fiscal year.
