Three critical faults in OpenOffice repaired

The complete OpenOffice office automation suite has expressed the three critical vulnerabilities through which a remote attacker can take absolute control of the infected system. The solutions are already available for the user, and as always it is recommended to implement them with the solely aim of avoiding ttling with these problems.

a que hora me las OpenOffice is a free software and open code which includes a text processor, worksheet, presentations, vectorial drawing utilities and data base. With three computer bugs, this broad work application is not so safe because users are always exposed to a potential attack of evil-minded people.

The versions susceptible of faults are OpenOffice.org 1.1.x and OpenOffice.org 2.0.x. One of the big errors has its origins in the inadequate running of macro, and the users is never informed of the execution of this program, and from this program, the intruder can make the fault vulnerable with a malicious macro inserted in a document.

A second error is launched by the manipulation of applets of malicious Java, event which can derive in the execution of malicious codes. The third fault reported is about an inopportune buffer overflowing
generated during the process of documentation of XML. Opening a document of these characteristics will also cause the execution of this malicious code.
