 The name ointment comes from the apple juice, which was called “pomi” in ancient times.  In the preparation of this ointment, it was used butter, cow butter, oils or vegetable fat, olive oil, almond, peanut and the like.

Ointment can be prepared in direct or simple solutions.

Any formula obtained from any of the previously named solutions is easily to be altered for the effect of the intense light, so they can lose their colour, and can even get rancid.

An easy ointment recipe:

Necessary ingredients

grams of plantain
50 grams of marigold
50 grams of hipericón
50 grams of pure butter (without salt)
Preparation:


Mix in similar amounts all the before mentioned plants. Crush them all very well squeezing their juice on a cloth.

Mix the juice with the pure butter.

Now put this mix over at a moderate heat putting a little bit of beeswax up to obtaining a thick wax.

This formula is indicated to improve the blood circulation, por the varicose veins, for muscular pains in the legs.
