ImageIt has always been emphasised that proteins are extremely necessary components for the organism, because, for example, they contribute to tissue composition during childhood and adolescence.
It also stands out its capacity of substitution for each of the cells that wear out and disappear in an adult’s tissue.

Proteins are made up of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur and phosphorus.

They are really necessary, but they have easy access too.  You may find them in good amounts of meat, fish, eggs, milk and all its derivatives.

Proportionally, each gram of protein gives us 4 calories.

They are made up from the union of amino acids, nine of them are considered to be essential because they can not be synthesized by the organism, without them the organism can not synthesized proteins in which these amino acids take part and tissues suffer alterations.

In the case of proteins of animal origin, these contain an average of 50% of the essential amino acids and a similar amount of the one which are not essential.  Instead, those of vegetal origin present a third part of essential amino acids.
