Some myths which predispose us to obesity

| Many of the things we have listened to about food are wrong and lead us to take incorrect decisions at the time of eating. |  |
1.- It is common to hear people say: “it is normal to get fat when getting old"
FALSE. The age does not make people get fat; it is the PERSON who hides behind that popular saying which is not helpful at all.
2.- Another saying for which people stop following a diet “ Whenever I lose weight, I always gained those kilos again”
Pay attention to the reason why you gained those kilos again. There is a saying that says that if you lose weight fast, you gain it fast.
The important part of a diet is that you learn to eat healthily.
| 3.- Other excuse “my diet does not make me feel full, after eating I am still hungry and I do not have control on my doings”.

All the before said is true if the person does not learn to eat; there will be negative results if the person does not learn to eat.
Well-balanced diets never leave people with hungry, if this happens it is because the diet was not well programmed.
4.- “Before my period, I feel fat”
This happens because during the period, women retain liquids but this soon disappears after the first two days of the menstrual period.
5.- Look for an external excuse “I am worry because my son is fat”
The important thing is realize what we are teaching our kids with our eating habits; and it is very important to do physical exercise so as to avoid sedentary lifestyle.
The first thing is to correct the eating habits and then to add the physical exercise.
