Tom Petty does not want to interfere in a legal parody against Red Hot Chili Peppers

Tom Petty assured that he does not want to interfere in legal conditions against Red Hot Chili Peppers because of a supposed plagiarism

Everything started when an American announcer started releasing that Red Hot Chili Peppers has done a supposed plagiarism with the song “Dani California", which is very similar to Mary Jane’s last dance, which authorship is of Tom Petty.

For Tom Petty, the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers did not have an act of ill will. There is much pop-rock music in the media and many songs are similar, that is why he will not initiate any legal cause against the rockers.

Tom assured that if someone copies any of his songs note by note and in a bad way, he would surely initiate a legal cause but not in this kind of matter. Tom Petty assures that he is doing well and that he does not care.
